Applications Invited: Scholars and Innovators (18–23 Years)

The High Commission of India, Victoria invites applications from eligible youth of Indian origin residing in Seychelles for the 89th edition of the Know India Programme (KIP) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

The programme is for the Scholars and Innovators cohort and will be held in India from 15 September 2026 to 29 September 2026.

Last date for submission of applications: 27 August 2026

KIP is a two-week engagement programme that offers participants exposure to contemporary India, including its innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, educational and scientific institutions, cultural heritage, and regional diversity.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be 18–23 years old as on 1 September 2026
  • Be a Person of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), or Non-Resident Indian (NRI)
  • Have completed at least Class 12 / secondary-school graduation
  • Be proficient in spoken English
  • Not have participated previously in KIP or another Government of India/State Government-funded programme

Preference may be given to applicants who have not previously visited India.

Travel and Hospitality

  • The Government of India will bear 90% of return airfare; selected participants will bear the remaining 10%.
  • Accommodation, meals and internal transportation in India will be provided.
  • Gratis visas will be issued to selected participants, as applicable.
  • Selected participants must submit a medical fitness certificate and comprehensive international travel and medical insurance before travel arrangements are finalised.

  • Completed and signed application form
  • Passport bio-data page

  • Any other relevant supporting document

Applicants should ensure that submissions are complete and legible. Incomplete or late applications may not be considered. Submission of an application does not guarantee selection.
