Quad STEM Scholarship Scheme
The Government of India has announced to award 50 (Fifty) Quad STEM Scholarships to students from the Indo-Pacific region to pursue a 4-year Bachelor’s level Engineering Programme. Out of above 50 (Fifty) slots, 05 (Five) slots have been allotted to the Republic of Seychelles, which is in addition to 03 (three) slots allotted under India-Africa Maitri Scholarships.
- Applications are invited online from interested Seychelles citizen students for academic year 2025-26, for pursing Bachelor’s level Engineering Programme in the following 8 Engineering Institutions under the scheme, which will be processed through Indian Council of Cultural Relation (ICCR)’s A2A Scholarship Portal (https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in) :
- Malviya National Institute of Technology, Jaipur (Rajasthan)
- National Institute of Technology, Durgapur (West Bengal).
- National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (Tamil Nadu).
- Delhi Technological University, New Delhi (Delhi).
- National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Tenalgana).
- Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kochi (Kerala).
- Anna University, Chennai (Tamil Nadu).
- Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology, New Delhi (Delhi).

- Brief guidelines of the scholarship are as follows:

- Interested students may submit their applications by visiting the portal at: https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in
- The applicant should be a citizen of Seychelles (Seychelles passport holder).
- Applicants have the option to apply to 5 Universities/Institutes in the order of their preference of The admission, as far as possible, shall be given as per applicant’s preference. However, there may be a scenario when students do not get admission in their preferred Universities/Institutions due to limited number of seats on offer. Students should therefore be prepared to receive admission from any of their five preferences.
- Since Academic Year 2023-24, a 500-word essay in English has been introduced to ascertain English proficiency. Besides, students can also submit their TOEFL/IELTS etc. Standardised Test scores, if available. There will be no separate English test by Mission.
- ICCR has introduced disbursement of all scholarship payment to students as direct payment online.
- The selected students will have to obtain the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) equivalence also, if This would be stipulated by the concerned University / Institute in their Provisional Confirmation Letter for the applicant. In case, AIU equivalence is required the student may apply for the same at the link: https://evaluation.aiu.ac.in/student/login and bear the fees incurred on obtaining the certificate at own expenses (non-reimbursable). - The scholarship slots include return Economy Class air-fares (tickets) to the airport nearest to the place of study and 3rd AC Train fare from Airport to the place of study, if so required. Students will be provided with Economy Class one-way travel ticket at the time of joining the course.
- It may be noted that for BE/B. Tech Courses, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) are compulsory in 11 and 12 Grades and it is a mandatory requirement for Engineering Mark sheets for each i.e., level 10 and
10+2 equivalent level of school should be uploaded along with the transcripts in English. The application will not be considered without English translation of documents if the original documents are not in English. It may also be noted that incomplete application can be summarily rejected by Universities. Students should be advised to thoroughly check their applications and attach requisite documents before submission of the application.
- Age criteria: for Undergraduate courses: between 18 to 40 Years (18 years as on 01.07.2025).
- For Science courses, the expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the scholars themselves.
- It is compulsory for all ICCR Scholarship students to procure Medical Insurance policy with minimum sum assured for Indian Rupees Five Lakhs (INR 500,000) per They must have medical insurance coverage on their own either before travel or immediately after reaching India, whichever is convenient.
