Passport related services (submission time 08.30 to 12.00 hrs., Monday to Friday)

In case of further assistance, applicants are advised to contact Missions/Posts/OSP for submission of their application


(i) Reissue of Passport on Expiry of Old one or Exhaustion of Pages:

Processing time

  5 weeks (tentative)
Documents required

  1. Old passport in original with photocopies of first, second and last page of passport.

  2. Photocopy of Gainful Occupation Permit.

  3. One recent photographs with light back ground. (2inch x2 inch)

  4. Print out of the online submitted Application form
    (Click Linkhttps://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/) to fill online),

  5. One additional form(Form 2 to download),


NOTE: INDIAN NATIONALS ARE ADVISED TO HAVE THEIR PASSPORTS RENEWED AT LEAST SIX MONTHS BEFORE THE EXPIRY OF VALIDITY. THIS WILL HELP THEM IN AVOIDING SITUATIONS AS SOME COUNTRIES REQUIRE A MINIMUM SIX MONTHS' PASSPORT VALIDITY FOR ISSUING VISAS.

(ii) Lost/Damaged Passport Cases:

A new passport to be re-issued as above.

Documents required

  1. Police report at the lost passport.

  2. A letter explaining how the passport was lost

  3. Any other proof of Indian nationality such as Driving License, Election Identity card, Ration card, Pan card, etc.

  4. A photocopy of lost passport

  5. Two recent photographs with light background (2inch x2 inch)

  6. Application form ( Form 2)

  7. Photocopy of Gainful Occupation Permit (GOP) .

  8. Print out of online submitted Application form (https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/)

 

(iii) Misc. Services on Passport such as Inclusion of Spouse Name, Change of Address or any other endorsement.



Documents required

  1. Old passport in original with photocopies of first, second and last page of  passport.

  2. Photocopy of Gainful occupation Permit (GOP).

  3. Two recent photographs with light back ground.(2inch x2 inch)

  5. Original and copy of Marriage Certificate in case of applying for Spouse name inclusion in the passport

  6. Document certifying proof for Change of Address (Copy of Driving License, Electricity Bill, Ration card, Election Identity card , Pan card, Sale/Purchase- deed copy, etc.)


(iv) Passport Of New Born Baby:

Processing time

4-5 weeks (tentative)

Documents required

  1. Child’s Birth Certificates from Hospital

  2. Parents passport and marriage certificate in original and photocopies

  3. Photocopies of Parents Gainful Occupation Permit (GOP).

  4. Two recent photographs with light back ground.(2inch x2 inch)

  5. Print out of online submitted Application form (https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in/mission/),

  6. Print out of birth registration done on MHA's website.  :https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Home2.aspx?formcode=09
